Bright and Quirky Youth Club

When and where?

We are excited to announce our partnership with a new youth group aimed at facilitating social experiences for neurodivergent young people to start on the 10th of November from 4.15- 5.45 (1.5 hours) at Storrington Parish Hall.

This is a drop off group, but parents are welcome to stay if they would like to. We would also ask that anyone with high needs has a parent to stay with them as, although there is a high ratio level, we cannot provide one to one support.

This will be the first of our two trial sessions which will give us an idea of the needs of the children, what parents and children would like to see and how we might like to structure future sessions. We will be asking for feedback from both parents and children so that we can launch the club fully around Christmas time.

To find out more, and to register your child’s place, please follow this link to our website.

Who is it for?

Bright & Quirky Youth Club is a safe place for neurodivergent children aged between 5 to 11 years with a diagnosis or on the pathway. Our sole purpose is to provide the opportunity for our children to socialise, make and build friendships and have fun with like-minded individuals in a friendly and inclusive environment.

As we understand interaction and change can be unnerving. We aim to increase self-esteem and independence. To do this, we plan our sessions to be accessible and provide a variety of activities to support individual needs. Besides familiar activities, we have adult-led team games, a weekly creative scheme and an ongoing projects for those who like to be focused and have a purpose. If children want to take in the surroundings, that's perfectly fine too.

How much does it cost?

We offer two free tasters as we know it takes our guys a little longer to test the waters! For the Youth Club to be made possible, we require a weekly cover of £5 after the two free sessions. This goes towards refreshments and a healthy snack, the weekly creative scheme and ongoing projects. We may be able to offer sibling discounts.
